Why Article Marketing Is A Powerful Marketing Method

| |

By Kristin Thormar

Marketing with articles is not a new concept. In fact, business owners have been using it in the offline world through magazines and newspapers for ages. However, today's business owners use articles for marketing their products, for search engine optimization (SEO), and getting back links to their websites.

Keywords enable the writer to target a specific audience, which in effect gains the attention of the people who are particularly looking for and interested in reading the kind of information offered.

Article marketing is fundamentally, a very low cost form of business advertising. The goal is to write an informative article on a relevant subject within your niche which is then published on the internet for others to use freely.

This technique expands your reach beyond what you could do on your own, gets your website more back links, and causes the traffic flow to your website to increase, thus improving your rankings in the search engines.

Articles that are written for the purpose of marketing businesses, are usually submitted to one or many of the article directories. The article directories are places where people who are looking for fresh content can find your articles, and publish them on their own sites, blogs etc.

In the end of your articles, you include your resource box (author bio), with information about your business and yourself. You also include a link to your website, so that interested readers can go to your site for more information. Those who want to use your articles on their sites must publish them in full with your information and links to your site.

Still, article marketing does not only benefit internet business owners. The truth is, that it serves a twofold purpose, the publisher gets access to free content, while the business owner gains free publicity. Its beneficial to all involved parties, which is why its such a popular method of advertising.
